Risk, honestly

The numbers change. The rules don't.

This account runs live, so drawdown moves and months vary — nobody can promise the next quarter. What stays fixed is exactly how risk is handled on every single trade.

A hard stop on every trade

Each position ships with a stop-loss and a take-profit attached the moment it opens. No trade is ever left naked, and a losing position is never given more room.

Size is fixed, never doubled

Risk per position is a fixed fraction of equity. No martingale, no grid, no averaging down — the fastest route from one bad week to a blown account.

Drawdown is published, not smoothed

Red months and deep pullbacks are part of trading gold. We show the account exactly as it ran — including the months that hurt — instead of a flattering curve.

We don’t project the future from the past.

Past performance is a record, not a forecast. The EA trades live and these numbers move with it — so treat everything on this site as what happened, never a promise of what comes next.

How it works

Five minutes to fully automated gold trading

No coding, no signal copying, no babysitting the screen. Set it up once and let the algorithm work.

01

Attach it to one chart

Drop the GoldWarden .ex5 file into MetaTrader 5, load the preset for your account size, and drag it onto a single XAUUSD M15 chart. One chart is all it needs.

02

It hunts gold for you

The EA scans structure, momentum and volatility during the London and New York sessions, then enters with tight precision when the edge lines up.

03

Risk is managed instantly

Every order ships with a hard stop-loss and take-profit attached, and position size is a fixed fraction of equity — no martingale, no grid. Sizing also shrinks automatically into high-impact US news on gold.

I have burned money on martingale EAs before, so I was sceptical. This is the first gold bot where I can actually sleep at night — every trade ships with a stop attached and the lot size never balloons.

Set it up on a Sunday and it was trading by Monday morning. The preset matched my $2,000 account exactly and the risk is precisely what they described — no surprises, no hidden settings.

What I respect most is the honesty. They publish a real live account instead of a cherry-picked backtest, and when February went red they left it on display. That transparency is rare.

I ran it alongside my manual gold trading for three months. The EA stayed calmer than I did — no revenge trades, no chasing moves. In the end I let it run full time on a dedicated chart.

Support actually replies. I asked a beginner question about the M15 chart late at night and got a clear answer with a screenshot. For a completely free EA, that level of help is unheard of.

The monthly returns do swing, but that is gold for you. What matters to me is that nothing ever blew up the account over ten months. Risk control is the entire selling point and it delivers.

Read all questions

Yes — GoldWarden EA is completely free. There is no license fee, no monthly subscription and no hidden profit-sharing. You get the compiled EA file (.ex5) and a personal preset for your account size. We offer it free because we trade it ourselves and enjoy feedback from the community.

We recommend a minimum of $500 to follow the risk presets correctly. On a $500 account the EA trades the smallest safe lot sizes. It scales smoothly all the way up to six-figure accounts because position size is calculated as a fixed fraction of equity.

No. GoldWarden EA never uses martingale, grid recovery, or averaging down. Every trade opens with a hard stop-loss already attached and risks a fixed percentage of your account. Losing streaks are contained by design, not by adding to losers.

The stats shown on the Performance page come straight from a live MetaTrader 5 account that we trade ourselves. We publish the full record here — including the losing months — instead of a hand-picked best case. Past performance never guarantees future results — please treat every figure as historical information, not a promise.

Is this for you?

GoldWarden is not built for everyone

Honestly, this tool is better for some traders than others. Read both columns before you ask for it — it saves us both time.

A good fit if…

You will probably get value out of it

  • You want gold exposure without babysitting

The EA scans and trades the London and New York sessions on its own, so you do not need to sit in front of a chart all day.

  • You can start small and let it compound

Around $500 is enough to run the presets correctly. The account is designed to grow over months, not to be doubled in a week.

  • You would rather survive than gamble

You value a hard stop on every trade and a fixed risk per position over chasing the single biggest month possible.

  • You want the real account, not a polished backtest

You like the idea of judging performance from a live account instead of a polished backtest screenshot.

Probably not for you if…

You would likely be disappointed

  • You expect guaranteed daily returns

No honest expert advisor promises double-digit gains every day. If that is the goal, this is not the tool for you.

  • You want to intervene on every trade

GoldWarden works best left alone. Manually closing and re-opening trades usually hurts the outcome, not helps it.

  • You cannot stomach a losing month

Gold drawdowns are real — a red month happens. If that would stop you sleeping, start on a demo and keep the size tiny.

  • You are hunting for a quick-money signal group

This is a tool you run and understand, not a promise that removes all the risk. We would rather you skip it than mis-sell it.
