A structure-first approach built only for gold
Gold trends violently but shakes out over-leveraged traders constantly. GoldWarden focuses on entering with the trend at controlled risk, then lets the market do the work.
The core idea: gold trends hardest while London and New York are open. So GoldWarden waits for price to break market structure, then enters on the controlled pullback that follows — always with the trend, always sized small, so no single trade can ever define the account.
Market Structure
Reads break-of-structure and swing highs and lows on XAUUSD M15 to define the day’s directional bias before any entry is considered.
Momentum Confirmation
Waits for price to break market structure, then enters on the controlled pullback that follows — riding momentum instead of chasing the breakout.
Volatility Filter
An ATR-based filter skips dead or erratic conditions where gold spreads widen and stop hunts become most likely.
News & Spread Guard
Avoids new entries around high-impact US releases and steps aside when spreads spike, protecting entries from slippage.
What it never does
- Never uses martingale or doubles losers
- Never grids or averages down a position
- Never trades without a hard stop-loss
- Never risks more than a set equity fraction
- Never holds trades through major news blindly
Survivability comes first. A strategy that risks the account to chase a big month is not a strategy — it is a countdown.
Every trade knows how it ends before it opens
Getting in cleanly is half the job. The other half is what happens after — and GoldWarden manages every open position by the same fixed rules, never by mood.
Hard stop, always
Every position opens with a hard stop sized to the trade, not to hope. A losing trade is never handed extra room to breathe.
Target decided up front
The take-profit sits at a measured multiple of the stop distance, so a trade’s reward-to-risk is fixed before it is ever opened.
Stop moves to break-even
Once a trade has covered its risk, the stop is pulled up to break-even — a position that has moved your way can no longer become a loser.
Trailing stop
In trending sessions the stop trails behind price, letting a winner run while the locked-in floor keeps rising with it.
Partial close
A first target banks part of the position; the remainder rides the trail, balancing a certain gain against a larger one.
Time stop
A trade that stalls without following through is closed rather than left to drift — if a setup has not worked within its window, it is treated as a miss, not a hope.
It only works when gold actually moves
GoldWarden is session-aware. It concentrates activity in the liquid London and New York windows and stands down in the quiet hours.
00:00 – 07:00
Asian Session
Thin liquidity. The EA watches structure but rarely opens new positions.
07:00 – 12:00
London Session
Structure breaks and trend continuation as European volume arrives. Entries are taken on the pullback after the break.
12:00 – 16:00
London / NY Overlap
The highest-volume window — where most GoldWarden entries are opened.
16:00 – 21:00
New York Session
Trend and news-driven moves; open trades are trailed and protected.
21:00 – 00:00
Rollover / Late
No new entries. Anything still open as liquidity fades is closed before rollover, when gold spreads quietly widen.

What running it actually looks like
Here is what it asks of you while it trades — and what stays firmly in your hands.
You do not babysit it
Once it is attached, GoldWarden opens, protects and closes its own trades. You can switch away from the chart — you just need MetaTrader 5 to stay open.
If it disconnects
Stops and targets are already lodged with your broker, so open positions stay protected even if the terminal or your internet drops. The EA resumes managing them once MT5 is back.
Your account stays yours
The EA runs inside your own broker account. It never touches withdrawals, and there is no copy-trading or third-party signal feed involved.
The things people ask before they run it
Short answers to the mechanical questions this page tends to raise. Anything about pricing, brokers or deposits lives on the FAQ page.
GoldWarden waits for price to break market structure on XAUUSD M15, then enters on the controlled pullback that follows, always in the direction of the prevailing trend. Momentum confirmation, a volatility filter and a news guard all have to line up before an order is sent.
Every trade opens with a hard stop sized to that setup, and the take-profit sits at a measured multiple of the stop distance, so reward-to-risk is fixed before entry. Once a trade has covered its risk the stop moves to break-even and then trails behind price.
GoldWarden trades one symbol only — XAUUSD (gold) — on the M15 timeframe. You attach it to a single XAUUSD M15 chart, and it does not spread itself across multiple pairs.
Only when the filters line up. Activity is concentrated in the London and New York sessions, and quiet days with no entry at all are normal — the EA is built to sit out poor conditions rather than force trades.
It avoids opening new positions around high-impact US releases and steps aside when gold spreads spike. Existing trades stay protected by their stops rather than being chased into the volatility.
The preset exposes risk and a handful of core inputs so you can tune how aggressively it trades. The entry and exit logic itself is compiled and fixed, which is what keeps behaviour consistent across every account.

Request the files
Ask in the support chat. We send you the compiled GoldWarden.ex5 file plus a .set preset matched to your account balance.
Install into MetaTrader 5
In MT5 open File → Open Data Folder, go to MQL5 → Experts, and paste the .ex5 file there. Restart MetaTrader 5.
Enable algorithmic trading
Go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors and tick "Allow Algo Trading". Then make sure the AutoTrading button on the toolbar is green.
Attach to one XAUUSD chart
Open one XAUUSD M15 chart, drag GoldWarden onto it and load the .set preset in the Inputs tab. One chart is all that is needed.
Pick your risk level
The preset sets risk as a fixed share of equity — typically 0.5%–1.5% per trade depending on the preset. Pick the one matching your balance; the EA sizes lots automatically.

What you need before you start
Trading gold carries real risk. GoldWarden manages risk by fixed rules, but it cannot remove it — a losing run is always possible, and leveraged positions can move against you quickly. Only trade money you can afford to lose, and remember that past results never guarantee what comes next.
